2nd conditional

If + verb in simple past, would + verb in simple form

a)    What kind of student would you be if you weren’t registered at FAD?

If I didn’t study Visual Arts, I would study Architecture

When I was in high school, I was in technical drawing. I liked drawing but when I passed to preparatory I took painting, woodcarving and sculpture and I liked more. So I decided to study Visual Arts but my second option was Architecture or Civil Engineering. At the last moment I chose Arts although I was on area three in that moment, I wanted to study economy.

b)    Where would you like to work if you had de opportunity and means to choose?

If I were working, I would like to work as a farmer

I have liked the farm since I was a child; I wanted to have my own orchard and eat food that I cultivated. I never did it for real; I only do it in my roof when I have time. I have tomatoes, onions and sunflowers. If I were a farmer, I would like to have fruits, vegetables and flowers. I enjoy seeing them grow but sometimes my plants get sick, that is so sad because I have cut them

c)    Who would you like to practice English with if you had the chance to use it on a daily basis?

If I wanted to improve my English, I would like to do it with a native teacher

I think that a native teacher knows useful tips. Also I would like to move to another country where my teacher would live. In this way, I would improve my English faster. I have studied English for sixteen years in the school but although I don’t kwon it very well. If I needed to speak it for my live, I have to improve it and never forget it.
